ATLANTA — Sisters Nakoreya “Nako” Roberson and Narie Roberson will mark a new chapter for their Southwest Atlanta hospitality project Friday with a grand opening and ribbon cutting for BOSK Café, joined by Mayor Andre Dickens.
The ceremony is set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 28, at 510 Fairburn Road, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30331, in the Fairburn Mays area often called SWATS. The celebration marks a great aedition to South Fulton’s restaurant scene.
BOSK Café Opens in South Fairburn
BOSK Café is the coffee, wine, and tapas counterpart to BOSK (Big Oomp Studio Kitchen), the smash-burger restaurant the Roberson sisters operate next door in Suite 400. The businesses honor the legacy of their father, Korey “Big Oomp” Roberson, founder of Atlanta’s pioneering independent label Big Oomp Records. The café name also nods to “Building On Success Kindly.”
The sisters, both Atlanta natives, describe the café as a woman-owned, Black-owned “third place” — a neighborhood living room between home and work.
What’s On the Menu at BOSK Café?
The menu leans into breakfast and lunch staples such as sweet potato chicken biscuits, avocado toast, açaí bowls, matcha, lattes, salmon grilled cheese, and shareable tapas, with wine service later in the day. Events have included book clubs, networking nights, karaoke, and wine tastings.
In interviews, Nako and Narie have framed the project as investment from within the community rather than displacement of it. They have said they chose Fairburn Road because they wanted the space to feel like home for people who grew up in Southwest Atlanta, even as the corridor changes. Mayor Dickens has previously visited the BOSK complex, and Friday’s ribbon cutting puts city hall’s spotlight on two local women expanding a family business on the city’s southwest side.
