We’ve got a fresh perspective on the insight into not bringing the character of T’Challa back to Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever.

MCU VP of Development Nate Moore told Van Lathan Jr. on his podcast that T’Challa won’t be returning. “We couldn’t do it.”

This is big news because while everyone knew that the death of Chadwick Boseman meant that he wouldn’t be returning, some reasoned that T’Challa could be recast. But Moore makes it pretty final in how he explains what the Marvel Cinematic Universe had to think about.

Will T’Challa Be Back For Black Panther 2?

“I would say that the chances that you see T’Challa — you will not see T’Challa in the MCU universe.,” Moore said, adding that the conversation about it with director Ryan Coogler was “minutes” rather than hours or days.

“I think we all feel so much of T’Challa on the screen .. is tied to Chadwick’s performance,” Moore said. “At no point did we consider recasting. So the challenge of Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is telling the story without T’Challa and I think it’s a challenge we’re up for.”

Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is one of Marvel’s most eagerly anticipated movies. Marvel Studios is filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Casting calls have already began as well. The movie’s producers began production in July 2021.

While we have been privy to a few details about the movie,, such as the debut of the Sub-Mariner and plot rewrites, there is still a lot to know! The most recent news is that I May Destroy You star Michaela Coel has joined the movie, according to Variety.

With that being said, here is what we know about Wakanda Forever.

Let’s look into that and more details from what will surely be a blockbuster film from Marvel Studios.

Black Panther 2 Wakanda Forever: Here’s Everything We Know

Black Panther 2 is set to move on without the lead actor for King T’Challa, Chadwick Boseman, who succumbed to cancer in summer 2020. Since then, fans have wondered how the epic African superhero tale will go on.

As for how the film will deal, Marvel is careful to pay tribute where appropriate.

Speaking recently at a fan event in Los Angeles, Marvel exec Kevin Feige says, “It’s clearly very emotional without Chad,” according to Variety. “But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”

The Atlanta-filmed movie broke records when it was released in 2018, becoming the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an African-American lead.

Cast member Lupita Nyong’o told Yahoo Entertainment “And his idea, the way which he has reshaped the second movie is so respectful of the loss we’ve all experienced as a cast and as a world. So it feels spiritually and emotionally correct to do this. And hopefully, what I do look forward to, is getting back together and honoring what he started with us and holding his light through it. Because he left us a lot of light that we’re still going to be bathing in. I know that for sure.”

Will Michael B. Jordan Appear In Black Panther 2?

One of the standout performances in the first film was Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger character. Although Killmonger died at the end of the movie, there’s a slight chance he could come back.

Here’s what Jordan told Jess Cagle’s SiriusXM show: ““I’m gonna have to go with a solid 2. I didn’t want to go zero! Never say never. I can’t predict the future.”
