ATLANTA, Ga. — Longtime Atlanta radio personality Big Tigger announced Sunday that he is temporarily stepping away from the microphone to focus on his family and ongoing legal matters.
The host, whose real name is Darian Morgan, has been a staple on V-103 for years, known for his interviews and deep connections to Atlanta’s hip-hop and entertainment scene. In a statement shared on social media, Big Tigger addressed the intense public scrutiny surrounding his personal life, describing it as filled with “overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”

“While I’ve spent decades shining a light on the culture… my own personal life has now become the subject,” he noted. He emphasized that the hardest part of the situation is being away from his son, stating that nothing is more important to him than being “a great father.”

Big Tigger said he plans to step back from work temporarily to prioritize his family while allowing his legal team space to address the case. He “unequivocally” denied all allegations against him and expressed confidence in clearing his name. He closed by thanking supporters for their love and encouragement.
The announcement comes amid a series of public legal developments in recent weeks. His wife, Alicia Brown, recently responded through her legal and public relations team after V-103 co-host Francesca Amiker filed a federal defamation lawsuit.
Amiker accused Brown of falsely portraying her as Big Tigger’s “mistress” and “homewrecker.” Brown’s representatives declined to comment directly on the allegations, citing pending legal matters, and stated that “the receipts, including text messages, evidence, and the legal process will speak for themselves.”
Recent local reports have also linked the situation to an arrest in Sandy Springs on domestic violence charges.
Big Tigger’s departure marks a significant pause for one of Atlanta’s most recognizable radio voices. V-103 has not yet issued a public statement on programming changes.
