A new Italian restaurant is set to open this week in Atlanta, Georgia. Bar Ti Amo, an espresso bar restaurant & Italian salotto, is opening its doors on Friday, August 4, 2023.

The eatery is housed in the same space as Portofino, which closed in 2022. Bar Ti Amo is owned by veteran restaurateur  Marco Betti, who also owns Sauce Pizza Bar and Antica Posta.

Bar Ti Amo will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner in its new home in Buckhead. Betti, a Tuscan native, has crafted the restaurant’s focus on family-style meals. On the weekends, Bar Ti Amo will be a gathering place for conversations over beverages, from coffee to cocktails.

“The name is meant to evoke a place of love where everyone can feel welcome. Bar Ti Amo is for lovers of Italian cuisine, offering meals all day, from breakfast to late night,” says the Bar Ti Amo website.

Of course, you can choose from a wide variety of classic Italian coffees from cappuccino to macchiato caldo and more. For a hearty meal, you can choose from any number of Italian egg dishes, veggie bowls, paninis and salads.

True to its name, Bar Ti Amo (“Bar I love you” in Italian) will serve as a bar with a wide array of beverages and bites as it aims to become a destination for upwardly mobile Buckhead clientele.
