Bed, Bath and Beyond recently announced that it was closing nearly 40 more stores across the country as the copany teeters toward bankruptcy. In the Atlanta market, some popular store locations have not been spared. This article will tell you what you need to know about the Bed, Bath and Beyond store closures in metro Atlanta and which store locations will stay open.
Why Is Bed, Bath & Beyond in Financial Trouble?
Bed, Bath & Beyond, like many retailers, is struggling with inventory issues in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which severely constrained the supply chain and led to worker shortages. That has led to big sales, but not enough.More importantly, Bed, Bath & Beyond is coping with liquidity (money) woes. It doesn’t have the cash to support how much debt it has accumulated over the past three years and is trying to stay solvent by initiating stock buybacks and trimming stores and personnel. For the everyday customer, that means they’ve been seeing more store closures.Which Bed, Bath & Beyond Stores In Metro Atlanta Are Closing?
- The Bed, Bath & Beyond at 130 Perimeter Center West in Atlanta near Perimeter Mall is closing.
- The Bed, Bath & Beyond at 4475 Roswell Rd, Marietta, Ga. is closing as well.
- Bed Bath & Beyond store at 1 Buckhead Loop NE, Atlanta, will shut its doors, too.
- Snellville: Presidential Market Center, 1905 Scenic Hwy Suite 5000
- Suwanee: 2623 Peachtree Pkwy

In the third quarter of 2022, the company told shareholders that it had failed to reach its revenue benchmark, reporting sales of $1.2 billion compared to $1.8 billion for the same period a year before. This meant that more changes were in store for the bathware store. When the latest store closures were announced, Sue Gove, President & CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond said, “Today’s announcement underscores the importance of having initiated a turnaround at the start of the third quarter and why we strengthened our leadership team to execute each step with precision. Our plan has two anchors: the first enables us to refocus merchandising and inventory, operate more efficiently, and grow our digital and omni-capabilities, and the second focuses on strengthening our financial position.”The closures are part of the company’s plans to trim overhead, which it announced a couple of years ago. What Bed, Bath & Beyond Stores Will Remain Open?
The Atlanta Bed, Bath & Beyond stores that will remain open for now include:
- 1235 Caroline St NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
- 2955 Cobb Pkwy SE Ste 110, Atlanta, GA 30339

After the fifth day, make sure you cancel the service to make sure you don’t incur any charges.
This is just a streaming hack I write about here.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever followed in the tradition of its original film by doing very well at the box office. The Atlanta-filmed sequel has taken in more than $840 million and counting. Now it’s time for it to stream on TVs at home.
One of the film’s stars, Angela Bassett, was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the movie. Ryan Coogler was back at the helm after negotiating with Marvel that the late Chadwick Boseman not be brought back via CGI special effects.

Get your popcorn ready at home because it’s an emotional, exhilarating ride for movie-goers.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever received widespread acclaim and was a huge hit at the box office. But in case you missed the chance to catch the film when it was first released, here’s how you can watch the movie.
What Is The Plot Of Black Panther Wakanda Forever?
The plot of the movie centers around how the nation of Wakanda will cope after the loss of King T’Challa and pressure from surrounding nations to share its prized supply of Vibranium.
Under duress, Queen Ramonda implores Shuri to continue her research on the herb, hoping to create a new Black Panther that will defend Wakanda. Shuri resists the queen’s overtures because she says the Black Panther as a relic of the past.
Meanwhile, the CIA and U.S. Navy SEALs utilize a vibranium-detecting machine to locate a potential vibranium deposit underwater. The expedition is killed by a group of blue-skinned, water-breathing superhumans led by Namor, with the CIA believing Wakanda to be responsible. Namor confronts Ramonda and Shuri, easily bypassing Wakanda’s advanced security. Blaming Wakanda for the vibranium race, he gives them an ultimatum: deliver him the scientist responsible for the vibranium-detecting machine, or he will attack Wakanda.
Who Are The Cast Members Of Black Panther Wakanda Forever?
The cast of Wakanda Forever: Black Panther is made up of many actors that were in the first film including:

So, you’re thinking about flying with Delta Air Lines. Looking at cheap fares online, you may have run across Delta’s Basic Economy.
With a Basic Economy ticket, you should have firm travel dates and don’t expect a lot of extras, because these fares are no-frills flights.
In this article, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about Delta’s Basic Economy seats.
Delta Basic Economy Fares: Everything You Need To Know
We’re not saying that these fares don’t come with restrictions, because they do — a lot of them. But you need to know exactly what they are so you can choose whether the flight is right for you.
Quick Links
Here’s everything you need to know about what you get with a Delta Basic Economy Fare:
What Is Delta Basic Economy?
Delta Basic Economy is a no-frills airfare designed to compete with the fares on low budget airlines like WestJet and Allegiant Air.
Basic Economy fares are hard to find on Delta.com, but they can be found pretty easily on the online booking sites like Booking.com, Expedia, Travelocity and Orbit.
As I alluded to earlier, Delta makes them visible there so that they can compete with other budget fares.
What’s The Difference Between Basic Economy And Main Cabin On Delta?
The difference between Basic Economy and Main Cabin on Delta is that you don’t get many of the features available to standard Main Cabin passenger.
That means you don’t get a seat assignment, ticket changes or other amenities.
Let’s talk about that a bit more in the next section on Basic Economy restrictions.
Restrictions
- Complimentary carry-on bag. Because you’ll likely board near the end, the overhead compartment space may be limited, but they may gate check your bags for free.
- Checked bag fee, depending on the route: Please visit Delta’s Baggage and Travel Fees page for details
- Seat assigned after check-in: Depending on the flight, you may be able to pay for a better seat.
- No ticket changes or upgrades: The exception is if you’ve booked your flight within the last 24 hours.
- No same-day confirmed or same-day standby travel changes
Delta Basic Economy Seating
Because Delta does branded boarding represented by colors, you’ll usually have to pay attention to which color is boarding, but not with Basic Economy.
With those low-cost tickets, you’re basically boarding last on all Delta flights. By the rare chance that the plane is not full and you can spread around, you may be able to move up into a better seat in the cabin.
If not, you’ll typically be seated in what was formerly known as the fifth zone of the plane. Again, you may be able to move up into the Cabin 3, Cabin 2 and Cabin 1 areas depending on availability.
Can I Bring A Carry-On?
All passengers boarding the main cabin in Basic Economy are allowed to bring a carry-on as well as a personal item.
The carry-on must be able to fit in the overhead bin. Meanwhile, the personal item must be able to fit underneath the seat in front of you.
Delta Basic Economy Food
While some of Delta’s more priciest seats come with better meals depending on the flight, Basic Economy food consists of Delta’s signature service.
Food: You will get complimentary snacks like Biscoff cookies and peanuts.
Drink: For beverages, you’ll be served non-alcoholic beverages i.e. Starbucks coffee, tea, juice, sodas or water.
If you want more robust food, then Delta’s Basic Economy is not for you.
How To Save With A Delta Basic Economy Fare
There is however one way you can get around the free checked bag fee. If you are a Skymiles credit card holder, you may — and up to eight people on your reservation — be eligible for a free checked bag.
That little perk saves you $30 each way.
Final Word
To sum it all up, Delta Basic Economy is for people who are OK with not as much legroom as other seats on the plane and last-second seating arrangements. But it’s still a Delta flight.
That means you’ll still get the quality and service you’ve come to know and love on Delta.

The documentary film is now streaming on Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and YouTube.
Arrington Sr. was born and raised in segregated Atlanta in the 1940s and knew how to galvanize the city’s residents for change. After integrating his law school, Arrington served as the longest-running City Council president in Atlanta’s history.
Working behind the scenes in crafting legislation Arrington built alliances joining black and white communities for urban development, opened the access for women and minorities serving in city government, proposed policies increasing African American businesses in the city and promoted advancement in the city’s transportation, sports, and housing sectors. “By telling his story this film tells the story of Atlanta,” says Adelin Gasana, writer and director of Bo Legs. “No other person’s biography parallels so harmoniously with the successful growth of the city of Atlanta than Marvin Arrington, Sr.”
The documentary, Bo Legs, takes viewers on the journey of one man’s love for a city and his visionary work for the city’s eventual transformation. Delta Air Lines is known for its courteous service and those Biscoff cookies, but it has distinguished itself for its prompt arrival and departure times. When you’re trying to save money on travel and get someplace on your trip, this is greatly appreciated.
In fact, a new report says Delta ranks first when it comes to punctuality. The OAG’s Punctuality League 2023 highlights the U.S. airlines that are the most and least punctual, which is the major benchmark for passengers looking to stay on schedule for their travels.
What Airline Is The Most Punctual In The U.S.?
Delta is the most punctual airline, according to the report, which cited the carrier’s extremely low cancellation rate (00.1%) and 81.79% on-time performance (OTP) rate.
The organization also analyzed how punctual the major U.S. airports were as well, with Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International coming in at #2 with an OTP rate of 80.08%.
Let’s look at the numbers, shall we?
America’s Most Punctual Airlines
Airline On-Time Performance Rate Cancellation
Rate % 2022Delta Air Lines 81.79% 1.94% Alaska Airlines 79.13% 2.08% United Airlines 79.10% 2.57% American Airlines 77.38% 2.67% Hawaiian Airlines 75.80% 0.58% Spirit Airlines 73.18% 2.84% Southwest Airlines 71.61% 3.17% Frontier Airlines 66.18% 2.63% JetBlue Airways 63.90% 3.32% Allegiant Air 63.22% 4.43% While rankings only look at North American airlines, the global list has Delta ranked #17 respectively.
“Strong performance by U.S. Mega Airlines and Mega Airports reflects the competitive nature of the rapidly-recovering U.S. domestic market in 2022,” said John Grant, chief analyst at OAG. “Despite a tough end to the year, overall on-time performance is improving across the board as carriers provided slightly less frequency to ease operational pressures and delays. This in turn allows many carriers to deliver OTP levels last seen in the pre-pandemic era, if not better.”
How To Fly Delta Air Lines
If you’re thinking about flying Delta, you need to have a game plan in place for your safe travel. As the largest airline in Atlanta, the “red” side of the airport is one you can’t avoid. Here’s what to know before you buy your ticket.
Take Advantage of Free Wi-Fi
The airline made the announcement recently that it will begin a free Wi-Fi rollout on select aircraft in the near future. After that, smaller jets and the wide-body aircraft used for international flights will get free internet service in 2024.
Delta Is Hiring
Be patient with the staff because many of them are new or were recently hired. Getting hired at Delta is about as difficult as it is at any Fortune 500 company. It may take several weeks for the process to be completed.
Check Out Delta’s Economy Fares
We’re not saying that these fares don’t come with restrictions, because they do — a lot of them. But you need to know exactly what they are so you can choose whether the flight is right for you.

One of the most bold fashion accessories you can wear is a quality hairpiece that brings out your best features. If you’re a black woman, you know your wig needs to stay on point.
In this article, we’ll go over some of the wigs that are great for black women.
Wigs are a great way to show off your individual style as well as show how amazing you truly are. If you’re an African-American woman, here are the best wigs for black women.
Why Do Black Women Wear Wigs?
Here’s a question we hear all the time: Why do black women wear wigs?
African-American women have spent the better part of 400 years being told that they had to conform to another standard of beauty to measure up. Hair has been a large part of this.
Wigs, which originally came into vogue among white aristocratic men in Western society, came to signify aspirational looks for fashion and other purposes.
Black women, bound in an aspirational caste system by chattel slavery, turned to wigs as a defiant symbol of freedom and liberation.
Now with that out of that way …
Here Are The Best Wigs For Black Women
As a Black woman myself, I know that certain styles appeal to us in ways that other colors, ethnicities could never really grasp. That’s why I created this article to really delve into styles that are for beautiful black women.
No matter if you like super long black straight, black hair or curly, bobs or short styles, embrace your beauty with these styles that capture some of the most beautiful wigs for black women.

Angela Bassett has been nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The Oscar nominations were announced on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023.
Bassett is the first actress to be nominated for an Oscar for a Marvel movie.
Last month at the 2023 Golden Globes ceremony, Bassett took home the Best Supporting Actress award for the same role.
Bassett dedicated her award to late co-star Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 from cancer.
We mourned, we loved, we healed. We were surrounded each and every day by the light and the spirit of Chadwick Boseman,” Bassett told the audience. “We have joy in knowing that with this historic ‘Black Panther’ series, it is a part of his legacy that he helped to lead us.”

Atlanta played a huge role in the makings of the Black Panther films.
Atlanta was the central production hub for both Black Panther movies and casting calls were held locally for both as well.
Like its predecessor, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was filmed in various parts of the United States and Puerto Rico. Major production was done just outside Atlanta at Trilith Studios, as well as around Georgia, including in Brunswick at the Mary Ross Waterfront Park.
Tyler Perry Studios was used for some key scenes in the first Black Panther movie. This time, the production moved around quite a bit.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released in the United States on November 11, 2022 as part of Marvel Studios’ Phase Five production slate.
Speaking of Angela Bassett, the actress recently caught Sheila E. at City Winery in Atlanta, and when “Glamorous Life” came on, she blessed us with the moves!
