APG welcomes artist, educator, and activist Endia Beal for an artist talk as a part of our quarterly speaker series, Speaking of Photography.
The event is Wed, September 26, 2018 7:30 – 8:30 PM EDT at Atlanta Photography Group 75 Bennett Street Northwest #B-1 Atlanta, GA 30309.
Beal’s photographic narratives and video testimonies examine the personal, yet contemporary stories of minority women working within the corporate space.
Beal currently serves as the Director of Diggs Gallery and Assistant Professor of Art at Winston-Salem State University.
Beal’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Vice, The Huffington Post, Slate, and National Geographic. Her work was exhibited in several institutions such as the Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit, Michigan, The Aperture Foundation of New York, and the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute. She graduated from Yale School of Art with a Master of Fine Arts in Photography.

Thousands of Atlantans flocked to Midtown Atlanta’s Central Park for One Musicfest 2018 this past weekend. Hometown Atlanta rappers T.I. and Jeezy, EastSide Boyz, Pastor Troy, Kilo Ali, YoungBloodZ and more graced the stage for the ATL.
The two-day music festival was held Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 at Central Park in Atlanta and featured a gaggle of top talent: Nas, Miguel, T.I., Jeezy, Big Sean, Kelis, Brandy, August Greene, Big KRIT, George Clinton & Parliament and more.
ONE Musicfest 2018: Music lineups announced
Billed as one of the nation’s “Can’t Miss Festivals,” ONE Musicfest was in its ninth year with a first-ever weekend of high-energy performances and unique cultural experiences.
Rapper 2Chainz posted after his performance, “Tonight was one of the best nites ever !!! Thank you ATL.”
Tons of local artists came out to support their colleagues as well. Keri Hilson was spotted backstage with Monica Brown, even Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams made an appearance, urging concert-goers to vote in November.It was an honor to join you,” she posted on Twitter. “A small business/entertainment success story, a phenomenal crowd and a chance to share my vision for Georgia – a great way to spend a Sunday evening!”https://twitter.com/onemusicfest/status/1038949091730972673Before the event, organizers were geared for success. “We are all super excited about OMF2018,” says founder Jason “J” Carter. “Growing into a two-day festival allows us to expand our roster, highlight more of the music that we love and give our audience an experience unlike any!
