Acclaimed Chef Ford Fry has built his Superica brand, which specializes in Tex-Mex with a twist, into five restaurants now in the Atlanta area.

A multiple James Beard Award-winning chef is set to open a new Atlanta restaurant in the city’s Old Fourth Ward neighborhood. Renown chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Marcus Bar & Grille will open its doors on Tuesday, March 21, the eatery said.
Samuelsson is well known in culinary circles worldwide. In addition to his eateries, Red Rooster, MARCUS Montreal and Marcus B&P, he has also appeared on numerous food shows and reality TV series. Now he has turned his attention to Atlanta, where he joins a growing list of celebrity-owned restaurants.

Reality TV and entrepreneurial couple Kandi and Todd Tucker are cooking up something good with their latest TV show, Kandi & the Gang.
The celebrity couple sat down with Atlanta radio station V-103 recently to dish on their new Bravo TV show, which looks to be an instant hit.
How Did Kandi & The Gang Come About?
“You just figure with Kandi’s crazy family and our crazy staff, they were born for TV, and mixed with food and fun, I was like, ‘Man, this is a great show’,” Todd told the TV station. “It took a little while for Bravo to know what to do with it, but now we’re here.”
Todd actually came up with the restaurant concept of Old Lady Gang, which is one of the top black-owned restaurants in Atlanta. He also shepherded the concept onto the TV screen.
“When you come up with an idea and to really see it transform and finally get on TV, I’m like, ‘Wow, did I come up with this? Not too bad,” he said. “But once you come up with one, you gotta come up with the next one.”” he said.
When Does Kandi & The Gang Come On?
Kandi & the Gang comes on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo TV. The show is part of a 10-episode production deal struck between Bravo’s Andy Cohen imprint and Kandi.

Georgia’s largest city just can’t get enough of Atlanta food halls. They keep popping up! A new food hall is set to open in Buckhead’s Phipps Plaza, the posh mall at the intersection of Peachtree and Lenox roads. It’s called Citizens Market Atlanta.

“We’ve had our eyes set on Atlanta for a while now, and when presented with this opportunity to activate this memorable building, we felt the need to jump on it due to the size and scope of the Centennial Yards vision,” said Goldstein, who also serves as Wild Leap’s Chief Revenue Officer. “When choosing spaces to open our taprooms, we’ve made a commitment to revitalizing historic areas. For our LaGrange taproom, we renovated a 1940s auto building and we’re excited to follow a similar suit with this project.”

As we previously reported, Holeman & Finch is planning to open a new location in Colony Square on Thursday, February 9, 2023. This would be the company’s newest restaurant in Midtown after it signature Ponce City Market location, its Trust Park spot and Mercedes-Benz Stadium eatery.
This also marks a return for the classic name — Holeman & Finch Public House — which originally opened in South Buckhead on Peachtree Street.
Guests can expect one of the best burgers in Atlanta along with all the trimmings executed by James Beard Award-winning chef Linton Hopkins and his sommelier wife Gina.
The re-emergence of Holeman & Finch is part of a larger growth strategy for Colony Square, which has welcomed Saints & Council to the fold in late 2021 and IPIC movie theater the year before that.
