• Rose + Rye opening Nov. 20 in Midtown’s ‘Castle’

    A new eatery is coming to Midtown Atlanta, boasting a creative menu, an all-woman executive team, and housed in a historic building. Rose + Rye restaurant and bar will open on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in The Castle in Midtown.

    The location — at 87 15th Street NE — features three levels of dining and a drinking space that includes multiple outdoor patios and rooms for private events.

    The eatery will open for lunch on Nov. 20 and weekend brunch in January. Menu favorites, according to a news release from the restaurant, will include: Caesar with smoked yogurt-parm dressing, tile cookie crumble & soft boiled beet soaked egg; Snapper with wheatberries, celery root puree & wild cherry redux, and Glazed Pork Belly with gnocchi & apple slaw.

  • Salata opens at Atlantic Station

    The newest restaurant in Midtown’s Atlantic Station is the popular salad bar concept, Salata. And it’s good. The eatery opened Sept. 21, 2017, in the quarters vacated by Moe’s, who closed down in mid-January.

    Dallas-based Henry Investment Group recently announced that Salata was making a major investment in the area, opening 20 restaurants in the Atlanta market over the next few years.

  • Taste of Hartsfield Jackson Airport? Umm, YEAH

    If you’re in the mood for some food at the largest airport in the world, you’re in luck.

    The third annual Taste of Hartsfield-Jackson hopes to show off the diverse dining options at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The event will feature samples from concessionaires including Mustard Seed BBQ, Lottafrutta, Fresh To Order, Ecco, Chicken + Beer, Atlanta Chophouse & Brewery, Chick-fil-A, The Varsity and Cat Cora’s Kitchen, as well as a chef’s competition with celebrity chef Cat Cora and a timed culinary challenge. Taco Cowboy restaurateur Tom Catherall will also be on hand.
