A new restaurant recently opened in the Sweet Auburn district of Atlanta. Auburn Angel comes from restuarateur Asa Fain and Executive Chef Robbie Pacheco — and it’s going to be delicious.

The restaurant is housed in the space formerly occupied by the Auburn Avenue Rib Shack. The building’s structure has been carefully preserved and restored after sitting vacant since 2014.

The restaurant held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, April 19.

The 3,995 square-foot space seats 60 people and features a cozy dining room on the interior and a covered patio that seats 60 more.

“Since 2018, when I purchased this building, I’ve daydreamed, planned, and executed, with the help of many people, my vision for Auburn Angel,” said proprietor Asa Fain. “It’s hard to believe that vision has finally been realized, but we are so excited to finally welcome guests near and far to our new spot, which we hope will soon become theirs. The building is ready for its new chapter, and we are eager to carry on its legacy.”
