The African Union Ambassador to the USA and Caribbean, H.E. Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, will be in Atlanta on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 for the first-ever African Union Town Hall here.
The African Union (AU), consists of 55 member states located on the continent of Africa. Like its counterpart, the European Union, the AU is a formidable trading bloc worth $2.3 trillion when you consider the rich resources of the continent.
African Union ambassador set to visit Atlanta
Chihombori-Quao has an Atlanta-based committee and so it’s fitting that the African Union Town Hall be held here. The event will take place in the AUC Robert W. Woodruff Library from 6:30pm-8:30pm (RSVP required).
Chihombori-Quao is scheduled to meet with Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms, the Office of International Affairs, influencers and several key stakeholders in the African Diaspora constituency.

Chihombori-Quao’s Atlanta visit is being facilitated by the African Diaspora Nation and African Union Diaspora Health Initiative on behalf of the African Union (AU) Representative Mission to the United States and Caribbean.
Chihombori-Quao is determined that all parts of the African diaspora, including those in Atlanta, may have a share in the sizable business opportunities that will present itself in and around the AU trading bloc.
