How It Started

AtlantaFi began after founder Tee Johnson moved to Atlanta. She worked as a substitute teacher in Atlanta Public Schools and later at Home Depot’s corporate offices in Vinings. She knew the city on paper. She wanted to know the A—the pulse you only get by hunting for what is open tonight, which patio is worth the drive, and which neighborhood event is actually happening.
She spent long hours sifting Atlanta forums for things to do. Sometimes she found them. Often she did not. That gap became the site: one place that gathers the city’s worthwhile happenings and puts them in front of readers.AtlantaFi is not trying to be every other local brand. Its fidelity is to Atlanta alone.
Atlantafi.com is not trying to be like any other site or brand. It’s fidelity is to Atlanta alone. Atlantafi.com.

Editorial standardsWe publish original local reporting and curated practical information. Articles should carry a byline and a visible date. Facts are checked against primary sources when reasonably possible. Errors are corrected in public.

If those pages are not live yet, publish them the same day as this About update. Google and readers both look for that triangle: who we are, how we report, how we fix mistakes.
