Urban planners and city officials are looking forward to a new development that promises to transform the landscape of downtown Atlanta. The 285 Marietta project is being designed by architecture firm Cooper Carry and the deal was completed by real estate firm Seven Oaks Company.

The 285 Marietta plan takes its name from the address, which will place it among other landmarks downtown.

285 Marietta Project: What To Know About The Retail-Office Development

Atlanta has benefited from a steady diet of development, spurred on by Mercedes Benz Stadium, the renovation of State Farm Arena and the Centennial Yards project.

The project is anchored by the district comprise of Luckie and Marietta streets, featuring restaurants,
hotels and tourist attractions like the Skyview ferris wheel at Centennial Olympic Park.

More specifically, the complex will be situated across from new College Football Hall of Fame. Its location is also provides easy access to Interstates 75 and 85.

Renderings of the project show a huge development that goes hundreds of feet into the air.
