YMCA Wins Battle Of Good Causes In Atlanta

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta came out victorious in the championship game versus The Giving Kitchen. at this past weekend’s SweetWater 420 Fest. The April 22 event featured 12 metro area charities competing in Gas South’s Charity Cornhole Tournament.

Held at Centennial Olympic Park, the event saw Gas South in tandem with the SweetWater Brewing Company award the YMCA of Metro Atlanta $10,000.

“The stakes were high again this year as the charities competed in the wind and rain,” said Chris Coan, Gas South vice president and general manager of business and government markets. “Every year the Charity Cornhole Tournament brings together local nonprofits that are committed to giving back. This is something our team looks forward to on an annual basis, and we are so thrilled to have the opportunity to help to make a positive impact with our local community.”

Gas South also donated $5,000 to The Giving Kitchen for second place and $2,500 to both The Metro Atlanta Salvation Army and Something New for third and fourth place.
