There’s something about a scoop (or two) of ice cream that goes great with summer. Right on time, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream just opened its scoop shop at Ponce City Market.
The ice cream shop opened to customers on July 11 and it continues the strong Van Leeuwen Ice Cream brand — featuring popular dairy and vegan flavors.
“We’re thrilled to bring Van Leeuwen to Atlanta, a city we’ve long wanted to be part of,” Ben Van Leeuwen, co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “Our ice cream is crafted with the finest ingredients, and we’re excited to share our passion with Atlantans.”
Customers who visited for the grand opening got $1 scoops and a free tote bag. — but the fun’s still going on.
The shop also introduced a special collaboration sundae with Bomb Biscuit Co., featuring a scoop of Van Leeuwen Honeycomb ice cream, half a Bomb Biscuit chocolate chip biscuit, salted caramel, and whipped cream. Mmm-Yummy!
