Frank Ski is back in the saddle as the morning show host of V-103. Atlanta radio is getting the team of Ski and Wanda Smith back after the duo co-starred together eight years ago.

Ski’s re-entry into the morning slot comes after Ryan Cameron bid adieu by announcing that he was joining an Atlanta-based branding agency.

Ski is a well-known figure in metro Atlanta’s nightlife after having hosted parties at several clubs through the years. He also helms the  Frank Ski Kids Foundation. He moved to Washington, D.C. for a few years before coming back to the Atlanta market in 2014.

“We’re excited about bringing Frank on,” said Rick Caffey, senior vice president and market manager for CBS Radio Atlanta told the AJC. “He’s an addition to an already deep lineup. Where most stations have prime time Monday through Friday, ours is really seven days a week and now we have another pillar of talent on Saturdays and Sundays.”

One of Atlanta’s most famous personalities, radio host Ryan Cameron is leaving the airways to start on the ground level of his own branding agency as partner. In an emotional show Friday morning, Cameron recounted how he started at the station more than 18 years ago as an intern then slowly moved up from overnights to daytime to mornings.

He said that his big break came when he was called to do a radio gig for “The Hunt For Red October” starring Sean Connery. That assignment, which he got after the previous host was fired due to a drug problem, changed his life.

Cameron will leave his post February 2 to begin his role with Rakenter, which is located in northeast Atlanta. “I have done everything I can in this field,” said Cameron in bidding farewell. “It’s time for another chapter in my life.”

At Rakenter, Cameron will use his influence to sway big brands such as Coca-Cola, Ford and Home Depot.
