Publix Bringing More Greenwise Markets To Atlanta

With Amazon ruling the healthy food market with Whole Foods, Publix is poised to introduced its own brand, GreenWise Markets to the Atlanta area, according to reports.

GreenWise stores are being eyed for several intown sites, AtlantaFi.com has learned. East Cobb got the first location at at 3460 Sandy Plains Road.

Publix Greenwise Markets Opening In Atlanta

The plan is part of a Publix strategy to open as many as 100 Greenwise Markets across the Southeast, the newspaper said. GreenWise is an old brand that Publix first debuted in 2008, but they put store openings on hiatus. Now, they’re relaunching in an effort to capture health-conscious shoppers.

Some staples of the GreenWise brand include products that are:

  • USDA Organic
  • Made with at least 70% organic ingredients
  • Made without artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors; may contain colors from natural sources
  • Raised without antibiotics or added hormones; federal regulations prohibit the use of added hormones in poultry and pork; all GreenWise meats are fed a 100% vegetarian diet

Metro Atlanta’s grocery market is dominated by Walmart, Kroger and Publix stores, but now you will be seeing more Greenwise locations.
