Next month, burlesque is going afrosensual as Pangea’s Afrosocial takes place at the Apache Cafe in Midtown Atlanta.

The event, which is scheduled for Monday, May 14, 2018 from 7 to 10 p.m., will feature the three earthSistas, who will take their turns on the podium. Host PrinCessYEME will take the audience through an extraordinary collection of talent on the stage.

The night is being billed as one of “exploration” as well as “entertainment.” Guests will still be able to get the best food and drink that Apache offers each night.

Although the hosts will be Anon the Griot and earthSista Princess Yeme, guests are encouraged, if so moved, to be bold and step up to the podium or stage and entertain, inspire, and as they say #BeTheArt.

Photographers are also encouraged to shoot the artists as the night will lend itself to open figure drawing and a photoshoot. Pangea’s Garden will provide the figure models but artists must bring their own supplies.

“A model is on the podium and no two artists have exactly the same view, thus their drawing or photography will reflect the perspective of the artist’s unique location relative to the model,” the promotion says. “And if just in case you don’t have the tools with you, there will be paper and colored pencils on select tables in the venue. Never be afraid to #MakeTheArt.”
