Join us for an intimate evening of celebration as Larry and Christine Wilson hosts a co-launch of their latest projects. The event is slated for Feb. 17 at Gallery 992. 992 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard Atlanta, GA 30310.
Larry Wilson, Jr. is set to release his sophomore jazz album, an ode to Joe Henderson, the legendary jazz saxophonist, entitled Our Thing. Christine’s fourth published book, and second fiction novel, pays homage to a woman who’s legacy evades history books.
Based on the life of Princess Laura Kofi, a representative of the UNIA under the leadership of Marcus Garvey in the mid-1920s, Black Goldoutlines the trials and triumphs of a woman on a mission to liberate blacks in America.
Be prepared for an evening of live music, poetry, reading, and great food. Do not miss this opportunity to celebrate with the couple as they contribute to black culture this Black History Month.
