Opening Day 2018: Atlanta Braves Guide To Food, Parking

It’s Opening Day for the Atlanta Braves, which means that Thursday, March 29 may as well be a holiday. The team has a bevy of events and attractions planned at SunTrust Park and The Battery Atlanta.

With temps expected to hover around 80 degrees, the Braves will host the Philadelphia Phillies of the National League East, at 4:10 p.m.. The game will usher in baseball season. It’s back, baby!

Atlanta Braves kick off Opening Day at SunTrust Park

There will be a parade at noon down Battery Way on featuring Braves players and coaches. The procession will make its way into the Chop House gate prior to their first batting practice of the 2018 season.

Look out for some familiar faces as well: Braves alumni will be on hand for a pre-game tailgate at the Coca-Cola Roxy and a post-game party complete with DJ and ecstatic dancing fans.

You know there’s going to be crazy swag as well. The first 40,000 fans into the ballpark will get a “Chop On” Tomahawk presented by Coca-Cola.

Where to Park

Official SunTrust Parking Lots. There are 19 official parking lots operated by the Atlanta Braves that contain 14,000 parking spots. Prices in the lots range from $10 to $18, and parking can be purchased on the Braves website ahead of time.

That will be followed by the Leadoff Show, showcasing the talents of the Atlanta Braves Heavy Hitters, ATL Breakers and Tomahawk Team, getting underway in the Plaza at 1:50 p.m.
