NeNe Leakes, Phaedra Parks Show Support for Kim Zolciak Amid Son’s Legal Case

NeNe Leakes and Phaedra Parks expressed support for their former Real Housewives of Atlanta castmate Kim Zolciak as she deals with serious sexual assault allegations against her teenage son.

TMZ caught the two at LAX on Saturday. Both said they have been in touch with Zolciak and stand by her.

NeNe, speaking to a photog while near a black SUV, said she wishes Kim well. She noted that the last time they spoke, Kim was doing okay, though it had been a while. In the video, she acknowledged the situation is different from typical personal drama because it involves family and kids. When asked if Kim was okay after their last conversation, she confirmed, “She’s okay.”

Phaedra, shown inside a vehicle in a patterned Louis Vuitton-style outfit, said she and Kim keep in touch pretty frequently and that she has her “girl’s back.” Asked what advice she has given Zolciak about the allegations against her son, Phaedra declined to elaborate, effectively pleading the fifth.

In other recent comments to outlets like Us Weekly, both women have spoken more openly as mothers. Phaedra has described Kim as resilient, emphasized empathy because she has sons of her own, and noted the principle of innocent until proven guilty. NeNe has said she texted early on as one mom to another.

The context is the case against 15-year-old Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., son of Zolciak and former NFL player Kroy Biermann. He was arrested in August after a female classmate alleged he sexually assaulted her in a changing room at a fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia, in April. Prosecutors have also claimed they found videos on his phone showing him having sex with an underage relative.

KJ has pleaded not guilty to the charges (including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and related counts). He is out on bond and living at home with his mother under strict conditions, including electronic monitoring, virtual schooling, no cellphone or social media, and a no-contact order with anyone under 16—including his siblings. His attorney has maintained his innocence and sought to have the case moved to juvenile court.

The allegations remain unproven in court. The RHOA alums’ public comments highlight the personal toll on Zolciak while the legal process continues.
