Atlanta’s craft beer scene just got a major upgrade with the grand opening of The Grove, Monday Night Brewing’s highly anticipated expansion at its original West Midtown location.

Officially opening its doors on Saturday, August 23, The Grove transforms 670 Trabert Avenue NW into a sprawling indoor-outdoor destination, perfectly timed with the debut of a new segment of the Atlanta BeltLine’s Northwest Trail.

New Taproom, The Grove, Opens Along Atlanta Beltline

This vibrant addition to the city’s brewery landscape promises to be a hub for beer lovers, families, and community gatherings. There’s also some good Beltline eats there.

The Grove, nestled just 90 feet from Monday Night Brewing’s existing West Midtown taproom, spans an impressive 7,400-square-foot indoor taproom and a 17,000-square-foot outdoor communal space.

Designed as an “oasis” along the BeltLine, the expansion blends craft beer, artisanal food, and a welcoming atmosphere.

“The Grove brings new life and a fresh start to the Monday Night Brewing space that started it all,” said co-founder Joel Iverson. “West Midtown has been our home since we opened in an abandoned warehouse 13 years ago, and we want this to be an everyday experience—a space to connect with friends, meet new people, and enjoy fresh beer, great food, and good vibes.”

The grand opening weekend, which kicked off on August 23, was a lively celebration featuring live music, brewery tours led by co-founders Joel Iverson, Jeff Heck, and brewmaster Peter Kiley, and a full menu of food and drinks.

Doors opened at noon, with 30 taps pouring Monday Night’s award-winning beers, including year-round favorites, seasonal releases, and taproom exclusives.

With nearly 100 different beer releases planned annually, The Grove boasts the brewery’s largest tap lineup to date.

Guests also enjoyed specialty cocktails, hand-crafted coffee, and a new pizza menu featuring artisanal pies baked in twin Italian-built ovens, with gluten-free options available.

The outdoor space is a standout feature, with an amphitheater-style setup designed for live music and community events.

Shaded by 62 preserved and newly planted native trees, the patio includes fire pits, communal tables, and a 20-foot LED TV screen for sports and live events.
Family-friendly amenities like bubbles, face painting, and ice cream added to the festive atmosphere, making The Grove a welcoming spot for all ages.

Its direct access to the BeltLine’s Northwest Trail, connecting Northside Drive to Howell Mill Road, ensures easy foot traffic and a seamless integration with Atlanta’s urban trail system.

The Grove also introduces a morning program, a first for Monday Night Brewing, offering coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries to cater to early risers.
Ample free parking across three lots addresses recent concerns about accessibility in West Midtown, where rising parking costs have impacted local businesses.

The timing of The Grove’s opening aligns with a broader revitalization of the area, following the closure of several restaurants due to parking challenges and limited public transit. The new BeltLine segment is expected to boost foot traffic, making The Grove a timely addition to the neighborhood.

Monday Night Brewing, founded in 2011 by Jeff Heck, Joel Iverson, and Jonathan Baker, has grown from a Bible study homebrewing hobby into one of the Southeast’s premier craft breweries. Now operating six taprooms across Atlanta, Birmingham, Knoxville, Nashville, and Charlotte, the brewery continues to innovate while staying rooted in its Atlanta origins.

The original West Midtown location will shift focus to production expansion and private events, while The Grove takes center stage as a community hub.

The Grove’s opening marks Monday Night Brewing’s 13th year in business and underscores its commitment to fostering community and craftsmanship.
