Merrick’s Walk for Edin Starts At Atlanta’s Galloway School

Merrick’s Walk for EDIN is an annual festival that is held in honor of Merrick Ryan, who passed away in 2000 of complications from anorexia. This year’s event will be Sunday, Oct. 21 at The Galloway School & Chastain Park 215 W. Wieuca Rd NW Atlanta, GA 30342.

She was only 19 years old when her life was ended prematurely by this terrible illness. Merrick was an alumna of The Galloway School and was a freshman at Bates College in Maine when she passed away.

She was a true treasure to all of those who knew her and she will be remembered forever with love. EDIN partners with The Galloway School every year to host a walk in her memory and to raise awarness for eating disorders in our Atlanta communities. Come and join us for this amazing festival on October 21st at The Galloway School!

Merrick’s Walk for EDIN has a threefold purpose:

  • To raise awareness of eating disorders.
  • To remember those who have lost their battle with an eating disorder.
  • To raise funds for the Eating Disorders Information Network (EDIN) and its prevention programs in schools and the communites of Atlanta.
