Metro Atlanta will be in full fiesta in the coming days as local Cinco De Mayo celebrations kick off in various locations. The day observes the date of the Mexico’s victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War in 1862.
Hapeville is having its May 5, 2018 Cinco De Mayo event, called La Fiesta Del Cinco Del Hapeville, at Jess Lucas Park.
The park is located at 680 S. Central Ave, Hapeville. The event will run from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. and serve authentic Mexican dishes, live bands, inflatables & a mechanical bull ride.
There will be free admission & parking.

11:45 – 12 pm Royal Allusion Dance performs
12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Mariachi Amigoz De Taylor Fuentes performs
1:00 p.m.- 1:15 p.m. dance performance from Hapeville’s Jazzy Girls
2:00 p.m. -2:15 p.m. Karate with Secondria Keith
2:15 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Join in with Hapeville’s Zumba performance with Sheila Sellers
2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Conjunto Alazzan Performs
3:15p p.m.-3:45 p.m. Soccer awards and Trophies
5 p.m. Festival ends
