KFC’s Vegan Chicken Sells Out In Metro Atlanta

That didn’t take long at all! KFC says its new Beyond Meat fried chicken sold out in six hours. The plant-based chicken was test marketed at only one metro Atlanta restaurant — the KFC on Cobb Parkway near SunTrust Park address: (2637 Cobb Pkwy SE, Smyrna).

Hours after sales began, KFC tweeted that “All of the Colonel’s “Kentucky Fried Chicken has Kentucky Fried sold out. Yes, it is truly a Kentucky Fried Miracle.”

KFC Beyond Meat chicken sells out in metro Atlanta (now how about some real chicken)

KFC tested the meatless chicken in metro Atlanta to see whether it will expand to other markets. One high-profile customer gave it high praise:

Atlanta music mogul Jermaine Dupri tried it and was won over. He posted on Twitter about KFC’s new vegan chicken, saying:

For the record this Beyond Meat KFC is right, if you vegan and you on the fence but you be eating soy nuggets, this should take the place of that, one because these are not soy, also the sauce in the add is honey mustard but it’s not vegan, FYI for any first timers. get the BBQ.”

Since you can’t get any vegan chicken in these parts, you may be up for the real deal. Atlanta has several GREAT fried chicken restaurants to choose from.
