Investor Buys Midtown Atlanta’s Krog Street Market

Midtown Atlanta’s venerable Krog Street Market is in new hands. Asana Partners, a real estate investment firm that specializes in high-profile properties, recently announced the acquisition of Krog Street Market as well as Atlanta Stove Works. The sale has gone through, it was announced Monday.

Both buildings are located at Atlanta’s Inman Park neighborhood. Behind Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market is Midtown’s shining example of a dining hall and destination food model.

“This investment deepens our commitment to Atlanta and expands our portfolio of authentic, walkable retail properties largely centered along the Atlanta BeltLine,” said Brian Purcell, Managing Director at Asana Partners.

Both the market and Stove Works are near one of the hottest trails in the city, the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, where thousands of people traverse during the week.

“Acquiring Krog Street Market and Atlanta Stove Works fits our strategy of investing in urban shopping and dining locations that are closely connected to their surrounding neighborhoods,” added Purcell. “These assets complement our collection of neighborhood retail properties in Atlanta including the Plaza on Ponce and Glenwood Park retail.”
