Georgia Bulldogs Beat Gamecocks, 24-14

The Georgia Bulldogs outlasted the South Carolina Gamecocks 24-14 on Saturday, Sept. 16 to stay unbeaten on the season.

It was a pretty win by any stretch but it allowed Georgia to see where it needs to improve.

UGA quarterback Carson Beck started off slow but managed to put together a solid second half.

“We came out with energy,” Beck said in his post-game interview. “We were composed, we were poised, and we started making plays.”

The Dawgs only managed 3 points by halftime as several miscues combined with solid play by South Carolina kept UGA from the end zone.

In the third quarter, Georgia scored 14 points and added another touchdown in the fourth stanza to pull away.

Georgia (3-0, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) will next face the UAB Blazers.
