Edgewood Dynasty is opening to the public on Sunday, January 22, 2023, AtlantaFi.com has learned. The establishment is located in the space formerly occupied by Sound Table in Old Fourth Ward.

Greg Johnson and Noelle Taylor are the husband-and-wife team behind Edgewood Dynasty, which the couple hopes to turn into a destination spot for food and drinks.

Former Sound Table Reopens As Edgewood Dynasty

Sound Table, which was owned and operated by Karl Injex and Muona Essa, was a popular destination for late-night music vibes in Midtown and Old Fourth Ward. The COVID-19 pandemic spelled the end for the establishment, which lasted about 10 years.

For Johnson and Taylor, the opening of Edgewood Dynasty is the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication after years of stress and litigation.

The couple had planned to open Edgewood Dynasty, along with its pop-up bar Cake Social Bar, just months into the pandemic but in 2020, the building was ensnared in a legal fight after a wall collapsed.

After a soft opening a few days ago, Edgewood Dynasty is now ready for big crowds and more.

Where Is Edgewood Dynasty Located?

Edgewood Dynasty is located at 483 Edgewood Ave., SE Atlanta, Ga. 30312. Here’s a map to help you find it.

In October 2020, The Sound Table informed its followers on social media that it was closing down.

“For the past few years, we’ve been considering making some big changes as we reached our 10th anniversary (which fell on the 30th of April this year). Fortunately, we found the ideal couple in our buyers, Greg and Noelle, who were ready to take on the challenge of carrying forward the legacy of 483 Edgewood Ave, under a new identity but with a faithful reverence to the ethos of ST. Watch this space for more details on their forthcoming evolution,” the business said on Facebook.

Final Word

Edgewood Dynasty is a welcome addition to Old Fourth Ward, which continues to be an eventful place thanks to the new businesses, shops and Atlanta Beltline restaurants that continually open.

The craze hasn’t escaped metro Atlanta’s  food and drink scene, which has seen a bar explosion in recent years.
