A food hall is being built at Colony Square, AtlantaFi has learned. The food hall will be called “Main & Main” and be operated by hospitality group Oz Rey LLC out of Texas.

The plans call for between 15 and 18 food options adn two bars in the food hall. Unlike the other two food halls in Midtown — Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market — the Colony Square food hall may display more ethnic foods, if what they’ve done in Houston is a guide.

The Colony Square food hall is slated to open in 2020.  It will size at 22,500 square feet. No tenants have been announced, but Goronkin said to look for cuisine centered around oyster, Vietnamese food and tacos.

The food hall is part of the $400 million renovation being done at the Midtown Atlanta location. Oz Rey is also the developers behind a proposed food hall in Gwinnett County’s Revel mixed-used development.

Colony Square is in the midst of planning on a massive redevelopment project that will bring ultimately bring new retail space, a food hall and movie theater to Peachtree by November 2019.

Iselle Kitchen + Bar is another Atlanta restaurant set to open at Colony Square. The eatery is set to make its debut in the fall of 2019, as we previously reported.

In 2018, Colony Square launched a partnership with Fooda to bring “restaurant pop-ups” to the Midtown development.

Colony Square scored a deal with office lunch outprint Fooda to bring pop-up shop food options to Midtown. Fooda will bring daily eats to the complex from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
