A pretty big pool party is coming to Atlanta next month. Hosted by the CEO of The Diva Kurves Collection, Francie Maupin; also known as MissDivaKurves, the Swim Thick 2018 Pool Party is set for Saturday, August 18.
This special event will mark its fourth anniversary and will welcome women and men from all over to experience an evening of celebration, socializing and fun in the city.
Come end your summer right and experience an evening of relaxation and excitement by the pool in one of Atlanta’s most upscale locations. There will be Food, Drinks,live music, Huge Prize Giveaways and more!

What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds. All purchases are non-refundable and not able to be exchanged.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
To enter the event you must be 21 or older.Valid and current state issued identification or passport is required for ALL pool guests.
Where is parking located?
There will be a traffic director for the event. There will be signs along with security to assist you with parking.
How do I obtain the address?
The private address will be emailed to all ticket holders ONE week BEFORE the event.

The first annual OYE Fest is invading Atlanta on Friday, August 10 – Sunday, August 12, 2018. It’s a historical event because this is the first-ever latinx festival in the Southeast.
The three-day festival in the heart of Atlanta that represents the diversity within our community; fusing music, art, culture, and progressive activism.

THE GALLERY is pleased to present We Are Stars/ Somos Estrellas, a joint exhibition featuring Martin Ferreyra and Pablo Gnecco.
“We are light and shadow, part of a whole in continuous movement, equal to the unknown end, in the darkness, we shine, we are stars”
Taking inspiration from the Day of the Dead celebration in Mexico, this exhibition, through paintings, ceramics and installations of light and sound, will give the audience a reason to reflect on what could be the reunion with our ancestors and keep their precious memories alive.
We Are Stars will open in conjunction with OYE Fest, the first latinxfestival in the southeast of its kind. A three day festival in the heart of Atlanta that represents the diversity within the latinx community; fusing music, art, culture, activism.
Martin Ferreyra was born in Cordoba, Argentina in 1984. Martin studied psychology in the National University of Cordoba. Regarding the arts, he is mainly self-taught, participating in workshops in painting and ceramics. Adriana Cervi, Ramiro Vazques, and others were his teachers. In recent years, his work has included painting, ceramics and video, creating the ceramic Totem Bowls, and collaborating with other artists, such as Sol Pereyra, and brands, such as Absolut, HP, and Nike, among others.
Pablo Gnecco is an experiential artist and motion designer from Bogota, Colombia living in Brooklyn, NY. He is an inaugural member of The New Museum’s art and technology incubator, NEW INC. Currently an Artist in Residence at Mana Contemporary. Curator of 9to5.tv & Co-Founder of Studio Studio a media and design agency/studio.
Refreshments will be provided by Tecate, Cathead Vodka and Red Bull. Small bites by El Ponce.

A portion of each ticket purchased will be donated to the International Women’s House, an Atlanta based organization whose mission is to provide a safe haven and supportive services to women and children who are victims of family violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking.

You are also welcome to take MARTA and get off at the FIVE POINTS STATION, or park at any of the other surrounding parking lots and decks in the area. Once parked, you may enter through the Pryor Street entrance to Kenny’s Alley. Walk through the archway entrance to Kenny’s Alley and down three flights of stairs. The Bronner Brothers International Beauty Show is set for Friday, August 4-6 in downtown Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The annual event will feature more than 100 classes, over 300 exhibitors, 10 special events, five main stage competitions and much more.
There will be two nights of comedy and concerts, top-notch beauty instructions and more.
The show traces its roots to 1947, when Dr. Nathaniel H. Bronner Sr. and Arthur E. Bronner Sr. (the original Bronner Brothers) with the assistance of their sister, Emma Bronner, began teaching cosmetologists at the Butler Street YMCA in Atlanta. Soon the event expanded and became an international event.
