Singer Amel Larrieux is coming to Atlanta for an exclusive performance on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at City Winery Atlanta.
Larrieux, known for her popularity in the 1990s starting with Groove Theory and her subsequent solo career, has been a touring artist since that time.

The singer-songwriter and keyboardist has been busy raising a daughter, who has joined her occasionally on stage. In 2000, Larrieux shot to stardom with the release of her debut album “Infinite Possibilities.”
In 2004, she released “Bravebird” on her independent label.
In 2010, Larrieux and Groove Theory partner Bryce Wilson reunited to do a show in Japan with the intent to go back into the studio. They apparently had problems finding a label.
In 2009, Larrieux released two new songs on iTunes, “Orange Glow” and “Don’t Let Me Down.” In 2013, she release her fifth studio album “Ice Cream Every Day.”

Atlanta United begins its sophomore season the first weekend in March as the team takes on DC United. Last year was a smashing success as Atlantans fell in love with professional soccer.
Last year the team played most of its games at Georgia Teach. This year the team pays at Merc-Benz, which will be their primary home, which they will share with the Atlanta Falcons.

If you can’t make it downtown, you can catch the team on TV: FOX Sports South and FOX Sports Southeast will televise 18 games. Also, Atlanta United LIVE will air 30 minutes before and after every match on the respective networks.

The Bronner Brothers International Beauty Show is set for Friday, August 4-6 in downtown Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The annual event will feature more than 100 classes, over 300 exhibitors, 10 special events, five main stage competitions and much more.
There will be two nights of comedy and concerts, top-notch beauty instructions and more.
The show traces its roots to 1947, when Dr. Nathaniel H. Bronner Sr. and Arthur E. Bronner Sr. (the original Bronner Brothers) with the assistance of their sister, Emma Bronner, began teaching cosmetologists at the Butler Street YMCA in Atlanta. Soon the event expanded and became an international event.

I-75/85 SOUTH
Take I-75/85 South to Williams Street (Exit 249C). (The exit ramp becomes Williams Street.) Turn RIGHT at the first light onto Ivan Allen, Jr. Blvd. Stay on Ivan Allen. It will take you to Northside Drive. Building C will be on your left once you reach Northside Drive. Surface parking is available in the Yellow lot on the RIGHT on Ivan Allen Blvd. and in the Blue lot on Northside Drive across from Building C. (Turn LEFT onto Northside Drive and Blue lot will be on your RIGHT.) Covered parking is available in the Gold Deck on Northside Drive. (Turn LEFT onto Northside Drive and the Gold Deck will be on your LEFT between Building C and the Georgia Dome.)
FROM THE EAST:
I-20 EAST
Take I-20 East to Spring Street (Exit 56B). Turn LEFT onto Spring Street then LEFT onto Mitchell St. At the bottom of the hill, turn RIGHT onto Northside Drive.
