Botánico Cocina & Social Club Coming to Midtown Atlanta

Midtown Atlanta’s dining scene is set to gain a lush, energetic new destination in late summer with the debut of Botánico Cocina & Social Club.

Botánico Cocina & Social Club: A Vibrant Latin Revival Coming to Midtown Atlanta

Slated to open in August 2026 in Midtown, the contemporary Latin restaurant and social club takes over the former home of the seafood spot Lure at 1106 Crescent Ave. NE.

From Palo Santo to Botánico

The project comes from the team behind Palo Santo, known for its modern Mexican cuisine. Botánico builds on that foundation but expands into a broader celebration of Latin American flavors, culture, and hospitality. After Lure closed about a year earlier, the space is undergoing a full renovation to transform it into a verdant, inviting escape.

Expect lush vegetation, organic design elements, and an ambiance that feels like a botanical garden meets a lively social club. With roughly 150 seats, it aims to balance intimate dining with energetic social gatherings.

Menu Highlights: Fresh, Bold Latin Flavors

The menu draws inspiration across Latin America and the Caribbean, featuring elevated yet approachable dishes. Early previews include:

  • Sea bass ceviche served in a mango leche de tigre with tapioca crackers.
  • Chicken tamales with chupe sauce.
  • Classic shrimp cocktail.
  • A range of other ceviches, small plates, and larger shared dishes highlighting seafood, bold spices, and fresh ingredients.

The beverage program will be a standout, with an emphasis on Latin American and Caribbean spirits — think creative cocktails featuring mezcal, tequila, rum, and pisco, alongside wines and non-alcoholic options that complement the food. Music and a lively atmosphere will enhance the social club vibe, making it ideal for everything from date nights to group celebrations.

Design and Experience

Designers are leaning into a “botánico” (botanical) theme, incorporating plants, natural textures, and warm lighting to create a relaxing yet vibrant setting. The renovation of the Crescent Avenue space should yield an upscale but welcoming environment perfect for Midtown’s bustling scene.

Botánico joins other 2026 openings from the same hospitality group (including the cocktail-focused Incognito in West Midtown), signaling an ambitious expansion.

Why Atlanta Diners Are Excited

  • Location: Prime Midtown spot, easily accessible and near hotels, offices, and other nightlife.
  • Concept: A fresh alternative to existing Latin spots, blending restaurant and social club elements.
  • Timing: Perfect for the post-World Cup summer energy in Atlanta, with outdoor-friendly vibes and strong cocktail game.

As of mid-July 2026, the team is finalizing renovations and menu development ahead of the August launch.

Botánico Cocina & Social Club promises to be more than just another restaurant — it’s positioned as a destination where food, drinks, music, and community come together in a beautifully verdant setting. Atlanta food lovers should mark their calendars for August.
