Thousands are expected at the Publix Georgia Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K races, which takes place Sunday, March 18 in downtown Atlanta. Many participants will be trying to stay hydrated and looking into ways to take in carbs and more.
The Sun Dial Restaurant at The Westin Peachtree Plaza, which happens to be located right in the thick of the race, is offering runners a chance to load up on carbs with its special pasta entrée on its dinner menu the eve of the race.
The Herb Pappardelle Pasta is a customer fave this time of year. Executive chef Justin Mason and sous chef Ralph Trillo have created a culinary delight.
As an accommodation for families who want to cheer on their favorite runner, the Sun Dial is providing free art supplies (poster board, markers etc.) available Saturday night for guests to create designs and display during the race.
The Westin Peachtree Plaza is also offering a special package where hotel guests can receive 10% off their daily rate for Friday and Saturday night by using the promo code ATLMAR. Guests who book this deal will receive a welcome bag that includes a SuperFoods snack and RunWestin gear.
