If you want to know about Atlanta, Georgia, you used to have to travel down interstate 75, 85 or 20 to experience the true city. But now Google has made it easy.

Google just launched Atlanta on its Google Arts & Culture, the company’s immersive portal on different subjects of interest. If you visit at g.co/exploreatlanta you’ll be whisked into all things ATL.

Previously Google Arts & Culture only focused on world-class destinations and landmarks like the Met Museum in New York, or Rome. But the inclusion of Georgia’s largest city means Atlanta is world-class too (but we knew that).

What You’ll Find On Atlanta’s Google Arts & Culture Portal

If you want to see an online glimpse of the Peach State’s largest city, here’s what you can explore:

As the tourism reopens, people can  take a first step by exploring highlights of Atlanta’s unique scene in one digital location, including:

  • 360 virtual tours of Atlanta History Center, The Breman Jewish Heritage Museum, Hammonds House Museum and the Atlanta Contemporary Museum.

“Atlanta has always pushed our nation forward. From social justice and civil rights to culture, creativity and entrepreneurship, this city is on the forefront of progress, and change,” Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said. “It’s important to forge partnerships with companies, like Google, who are invested in our success as much as their own, because those collaborations make valuable resources and opportunities available to every Atlantan.”

Atlanta is the fourth American city to get Google’s Arts & Culture treatment and the first in the South.

To make it happen, Google Arts & Culture Atlanta partnered with 30 Atlanta institutions, from the High Museum to The National Center for Civil and Human Rights and more. The result is a world-class experience.
