2021 AJFF Film Lineup To Be Announced

The 2021 AJFF film lineup will be announced over the coming weeks. Movie buffs can expect more than 30 narrative and documentary features plus short film offerings, representing a diversity of genres and subjects.

Virtual Cinema

The festival will feature a Virtual Cinema which will allow audiences to enjoy international films from a smart TV, home theater, computer, tablet or mobile device in the comforts of their own homes.

Drive-In Screenings

AJFF will offer a a limited number of drive-in screenings in the 11-acre The Home Depot Backyard greenspace adjacent to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.

Community Conversations

To foster dialogue between Atlanta’s diverse film community and the audience, AJFF will feature enhanced guest programming, including speaker introductions and extensive Q&A panels.

AJFF Executive Director Kenny Blank says the power of cinema can be especially therapeutic during tough times like these.

“Cinematic stories feed the soul at a time when we need the help of film artists to make sense of our world, to be inspired, and to reignite our shared sense of humanity. Our festival staff and volunteers have gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure the core tenets of the festival – community, representation, storytelling and experience – are preserved in our 2021 hybrid edition,”  Blank says in a statement. “It’s gratifying to see that, despite the pandemic, the pipeline of new films on Jewish themes is as strong as ever. We look forward to being ‘together through film’ in February, our motto for these COVID times.”

With more than 900 movie and TV projects just in the last few years, the film industry has generated more than $9 billion for the state of Georgia.
