It’s hard to believe, but the 2018 edition of the Dogwood Festival is in its 82nd year. That means Atlantans have had a good time 81 other times — and it still hasn’t gotten old.
The dates for the festival are Friday, noon to 11 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Everything You Need To Know About The Dogwood Festival
This weekend, the Dogwood Festival is happening again in Midtown Atlanta and it’s free to the public. But there are some associated ticketed events:
Backyard Bites & Brews
Backyard Bites & Brews is a new ticketed tasting event held during the festival. It features local eateries competing in a Best Bites contest. Attendees get chef samples, Backyard Bites & Brews and sips and swigs from local and craft breweries. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door if available (children 12 and under are free).
Platinum tickets are $50 advance / $60 door if available.
The VIP Experience includes Food and Beer Tasting, Access to VIP tent, Private Restroom Trailers and Seating.
Family Friday
In keeping with a safety-minded festival, the event will host Family Friday, welcoming families and offering the unlimited ride wristband good for all rides and inflatables on Friday only. If you want to purchase Family Friday wristbands, the cost is $12 in advance or $15 onsite
Rocker Shawn Mullins is headlining the main stage. This year’s festival will feature the following performance areas — the Main Stage and the International Stage — where all will be free to enjoy various musical acts. See the Dogwood Festival music lineup right here.
On Saturday morning, there is also a Mimosa 5K race as part of the event.
