The movies are coming back in a back way in the age of the coronavirus pandemic. AMC Theaters has announced that it will open August 20 with 15 cents movie tickets.
The cheap price is for one day only, part of the theater chain’s attempt to get people back into movie theaters.
AMC Theaters Reopening In Atlanta
More than 100 theaters in the United States will have “movies in 2020 at 1920 prices,” the company says in a news release.
AMC says it has implemented enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures in line with CDC guidance. It will also adhere to social distancing rules based on the Atlanta agency’s recommendations.
AMC and other theater chains are trying to claw back economically after COVID-19 shut business down in March.
