“Avengers: Infinity War” is slated for U.S. theaters in May 2018. The film, which has been in production in metro Atlanta since last winter, will be about the supervillain Thanos and his quest to destroy the Avengers.

The movie stars Josh Brolin, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt and more.

Georgia has been a favorite location for TV productions since the state instituted generous tax breaks for film companies that agree to shoot locally. Projects from CBS, NBC, HBO, BET and more are slated to shoot in the metro area in 2017.

Here are the productions that have filmed in metro Atlanta in the past six months:

“Den of Thieves”
If you’re a fan of “Power” and “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” by 50 Cent, the rapper-turned-movie mogul TV is back with another gritty film. “Den of Thieves” is a feature film starring the rapper and Gerard Butler. The movie will center on a bank heist that goes awry for one of the criminals. Shooting began in January 2017 in Atlanta.
“Pitch Perfect 3”
The film “Pitch Perfect 3” follows the other two films in the hugely successful franchise. The third installment of the musical comedy will star Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson & Miley Cyrus. The film is currently casting stand-ins. Shooting began January 30 in Atlanta and Marietta.
“Black Panther”
The Marvel Studios feature film “Black Panther” will star Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan & Lupita Nyong’o in the “Avengers” spinoff project. The movie will focus on T’Challa, the ruler of the kingdom of Wakanda and his efforts to defend the country from its adversaries. Shooting started in January.
